Equivalent to a high school diploma. Additional specialized training in child development, education, or a related field is desirable and experience working with autistic individuals is desirable. Instructional assistance experience is desirable.

Requirements for Applying
BASIC FUNCTION: Under general supervision, to perform a variety of instructional support duties for autistic students; and to perform a variety of clerical duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in the instruction and supervision of autistic children.Assist students with self-help skills including, feeding, teeth brushing, toileting, and dressing; assist in diapering as needed.Perform appropriate hygiene procedures for self, equipment, and classroom environment.Assist with the preparation of instructional materials; assist in the preparation of graphic and written teaching materials.Assist with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises for students; assist in the conduct of lessons and other classroom activities; prepare for and assist with various classroom projects; clean up after classroom projects.Assist individuals or small groups of students with academic and social skills and the achievement of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals; reinforce instruction to individuals or small groups in a variety of subjects.Assist in evaluating student progress in a wide variety of skills; correct papers; report progress regarding student performance and behavior to the teacher.Observe and manage behavior of students according to approved procedures; assist in maintaining order among the children in the classroom and on the school grounds; supervise students as assigned in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, or while on field trips; accompany students going from one location to another.Perform a variety of clerical duties including recording attendance and grades, maintaining records and files.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
